Borderline Mothers: Helping her children transcend the intense, unpredictable, and volatile relationship

By Christine Ann Lawson

The primary audience for this book is the adult children of borderline mothers; however, those who care for these children will also find this book of value.  The book fully defines Borderline Personality Disorder and breaks down the types by comparing them to fairy tale characters: the waif, the hermit, the queen and the witch.  Under each type is a full description including the emotional state, inner experience, characteristics, mottos and messages.  There are also discussions on what becomes of the children as they reach maturity.

This book is well researched and written.
